The Employability & Workplace Skills Programme

The Employability and Workplace Skills Programme has been developed to provide learners with a range of knowledge, understanding, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. This programme provides learners with the knowledge and understanding needed to make career decisions, together with the skills to plan a career pathway of their choosing. They will also learn how to access suitable job vacancies, together with the skills needed to prepare documentation in support of job applications.

This 12 week programme, (240 guided learning hours) will support young people aged 16 to 21, who are not in employment, education or training (NEET), to increase social connections with new people through working together, peer mentoring, and build vocational and mental health resilience skills to reach their full potential.

  • CV writing
  • Learn job interview techniques
  • Planning and development of career pathways
  • Knowledge of how to prepare documentation in support of job applications
  • Develop good communication, leadership and mentoring skills

Learners will receive a OTHM Level 3 qualification upon successfully completing the units.

Entry Requirement 16 -21, not in employment, education or training (NEET) Timescale 60, 4 hour classes, 240 GLH in total Level Level 3
